As accredited assessors, Navitas EAS undertake the energy assessment of all type of buildings using Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) and Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) software to produce the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) required when a property is sold, let or constructed.

We can provide the following

  • As accredited assessors, Navitas EAS undertake the energy assessment of all type of buildings using Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) and Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) software to produce the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) required when a property is sold, let or constructed.

  • Undertaken at the design and as-built stages, the SAP calculation tests that the dwelling's specification complies with Part L ADL1A of the Building Regulations in England and Wales and the equivalent building standards in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

At the design stage, a Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA) is produced to allow marketing of the property, prior to the issue of the On-Construction Energy Performance Certificate on completion.

Navitas EAS are able to guide you through the process from design to completion, including calculating fabric U-values, undertaking Part G water efficiency assessments, air permeability and acoustic testing, ensuring a smooth and stress-free course to compliance and certification.

  • Undertaken at the design and as-built stages, the SBEM calculation tests that the building's specification complies with Part L ADL2A of the Building Regulations in England and Wales and the equivalent building standards in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

At the design stage, a draft Energy Performance Certificate is produced to allow marketing of the property, prior to the issue of the Energy Performance Certificate on completion.

Navitas EAS are able to guide you through the process from design to completion, including calculating the fabric U-values, undertaking daylight and lighting requirement assessments and air permeability testing, ensuring a smooth and stress-free course to compliance and certification.

  • Undertaken at the design and as-built stages, the SAP calculation tests the specification of the proposed conversion or extension demonstrates compliance with the requirements of Part L ADL1B of the Building Regulations in England and Wales and the equivalent building standards in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Navitas EAS are able to guide you through the process from design to completion, including calculating fabric U-values, undertaking Part G water efficiency assessments, thermal imaging surveys, air permeability, and acoustic testing, ensuring a smooth and stress-free course to compliance and certification.

  • Undertaken at the design and as-built stages, the SBEM calculation tests the specification of the proposed conversion demonstrates compliance with the requirements of Part L ADL2B of the Building Regulations in England and Wales and the equivalent building standards in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Navitas EAS are able to guide you through the process from design to completion, including calculating fabric U-values, undertaking daylight and lighting requirement assessments, thermal imaging surveys, air permeability and acoustic testing, ensuring a smooth and stress-free course to compliance and certification.

  • An energy statement is a requirement of many Local Planning Authorities and is a pre-condition to planning permission being granted. The statement illustrates the carbon dioxide (CO 2) emissions and energy consumption for the design of the project and provides an assessment of the building's carbon strategy and fabric efficiency.

Navitas EAS are able to provide fully compliant reports to accompany your planning application and satisfy the requirements of your Local Planning Authority.

  • The new Building Regulations Part L 2021 and SAP 10 came into effect from the 15th June 2022 and one of the changes was the removal of the option to use Accredited Construction Details for the thermal bridging in a building. There will now be limited options when inputting thermal bridging psi-values. As members of the Elmhurst Psi-Value Competency Scheme, we can offer 2D and 3D thermal bridging calculations for junctions for entry into SAP and SBEM.

  • Building regulations continue to require more highly insulated, airtight buildings and with the expected impact of climate change on summer temperatures, overheating in buildings is becoming an increasing concern for the industry. The recent changes to building regulations will place more emphasis on reducing overheating in homes. We can offer a simplified Part O assessment or a more complex Dynamic Thermal Modelling (DTM) assessment for substantially glazed buildings.
